Companionship is an important part of non-medical home care. A caregiver can spend meaningful time with a client through conversation, puzzles, reading, music, photographs, short walks, or other activities the client enjoys.
The goal is to help the client feel respected, connected, and comfortable at home. Companionship can also provide families with reassurance that their loved one has dependable support and someone present to assist with everyday routines.
